Fuji Japanese Steakhouse: Reviews & Ratings
Don't let appearances fool you! We make the 2 hour round trip frequently just for their sushi! Well worth it! Great prices for the amount you get too. No little skimpy rolls! Have brought friends there to enjoy too!
Pretty unassuming from the outside but it’s a great hibachi option in this small town. I thought the food quality and portions were up there with the best.
9/19/25 3:30 pm...Food was delicious. Except the dressing on the salad. Even the water was good. Every server that we came across asked us if we needed anything. It was a little dark in there but I didn't mind. Decent music. I loved the vibe and will definitely be back.
Rating generously because fujis is typically a pretty reliable choice. Today, however, was an awful lunch experience. We arrived before lunch rush and their was staff aplenty, talking, sitting, relaxing etc(this was consistent our entire stay). We got our order placed quickly as we are regulars here. Our server was kind, though she did not know English. After about 10 minutes she dissapeared entirely and we were left without food or service for 40 minutes no refills or checkups. Once our food arrived (served by a new young server- english fluent) it was clear that 2 out of 3 of our meals had been sitting out for a LONG time and were room temperature. My chicken and rice was barely warm but the veggies were clearly fresh/hot. When we let the young lady who brought our food know, she dismissed it saying she took it as soon as we were ready, zero accountability, and left. Our original server (eventually) came back and we let her know the food was cold, she did not understand due to language barrier but eventually understood and said "im sorry " and left. I WILL SAY, the kind skinny woman (not old, but older than the others) who was running around the whole time very busy, would check on our drinks and take our plates while dealing with her own tables as well. We tipped her personally. Flavor was there, props to the chef, however serving was extraordinarily lackluster. We will return but I just HAD to lower the previous rating, we expected better from fujis.
What a great experience! Friend took me there for lunch and it was so fun to watch the food prepared in front of us!
First time here and we wanted to do the hibachi experience but the man who sat us didnt give us the option so we figured they didnt have it so we sat at a regular table. We still enjoyed ourselves. We liked the salad with the ginger dressing alot. The onion soup was good too. Our calamari was overcooked and rubbery. I had the steak and shrimp combination and it was good. My husband had the steak shrimp and lobster and he said it was okay. Not really alot of flavor on them but the sauce was good. We went on my birthday so the waitress brought me a dessert and they sang Happy Birthday which I thought was nice. The quality of food dint match the price but over all it waant the worst we have had. We will go back to try the hibachi experience!
This place was very well run. Had a big group and the chef was very interactive with every member. Food was delicious too. Highly recommend
The sushi selection is a little bit limited compared to other places i have been to, but you can't beat the price of the sushi lunch combos. Best price on sushi anywhere. The rolls are all very high quality, our favorites are the Seven's rolls, the eel roll, the shrimp tempura roll, and the Hollywood roll. The Hollywood roll goes together very well with the spicier rolls. The soup and salad that come in the combo are also very delicious.
